Missed street briefing due being flagged down by member of the public which needed police assisnta

I wanted to provide you an update regarding Personal theft (e.g. pick pocketing, no violence used), which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

I would like to apologizes for not attending the Street briefing at Sutton Green today.
As we were making our way to the Green we were flagged down by 2 members of the public .Due to an 83 year old female who had fallen over into the main road of Thowley way . Where she had sub-stained a head injure. While dealing with her it also transpired that she had had her handbag stolen from Savers in the high street . With us staying with the her till an ambulance arrived and doing CCTV enquirers for the suspects .
Please be aware of people getting too close to you in the High Street.
